In the News
St. Bernard School in Rockville, Connecticut opened its doors on September 10, 1895. For over a century, the Sisters of Mercy provided a rigorous educational program to ensure its academic excellence. Unfortunately, the economic downturn in this once small textile town, coupled with low enrollment and an increase in lay faculty, resulted in severe lack of funds at the school. Despite fundraising efforts, St. Bernard School closed in June, 2008. To compensate, St. Joseph School in Rockville, Connecticut now employs some former St. Bernard School faculty members and students.CAP Contacts
